Steve Matthews - Vocals

Steve has been a staple of the Boston music scene for years. He performed with greats John Lee Hooker and George Duke. Steve's dynamic vocal energy and stage prescence make him one of the area's most entertaining and talented front man. The Boston Herald's Sara Rodman calls Steve "vibrant." Steve has also sung with Memorial Drive and has shared the stage with numerous local and national artists who are always eager to let Steve sit in to entertain and light up a room.

Brian Kelley - Drums

Part Time Lovers Bandleader and drummer Kelley also leads his own jazz group, Brian Kelley's Social Lubrication! when not performing with the PTL. His debut CD "Ketchup and Rivets" is available on LSK records. Dan Kenney, keyboardist for Britney Spears and N'Sync says "I give Ketchup and Rivets four stars!" Kelley also owns Brian Kelley Music (www.briankelleymusic.com) He also freelances with a variety of bands and maintains a large teaching practice. Brian and PTL Bassist Grinell have teamed up on three recordings as co-producers. He is also currently recording a CD with keyboardist/songwriter Dan Kenney. Look for upcoming releases with his jazz group, Social Lubrication! due out in late 2003 and mid 2004.

Cole Grinnell - Bass

Bassist Grinnell is one of the top bass players in the area. His writing and arranging can be heard on the PTL's CD "Down for the Ride" Grinnell is also the PTL musical director. He has also performed in a variety of other musical situations and can be heard on Jim Kelly's debut CD "Steering Wheel" as well as PTL drummer Brian Kelley's CD "Ketchup and Rivets" Grinnell has several CD producing credits under his belt. He also maintains a teaching practice when not performing.

Ron Chancey - Guitar

Ron has been with the PTL since 2000 and was nominated for the prestigious Albert King Outstanding Guitarist award at The 17th International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee, where the PTL performed in 2001. Ron's slick, tasty, original playing can be heard on the PTL'S "Down for the Ride" He also wrote and arranged one song on the album. Ron has performed in a variety of bands in the area and still performs with The Blue Dog blues band from time to time.


Ken Cook - Piano and Hammond B-3

Ken is an extremely versatile musician. He can be heard playing Hammond B-3 organ, Piano, and Fender Rhodes on The PTL's "Down for the Ride" CD. Ken frequently performs in PTL drummer Brian Kelley's Social Lubrication jazz band as well as with his own jazz trio. Ken also maintains a large teaching practice in the Boston area. He has toured Internationally with Johnny Adams as well as performed and or recorded with Michele Wilson, Scott Shetler's C'mon Man Trio, as well as with a who's who of the jazz scene in Boston.
